Privacy
This page explains how Tech Savvy Gympie handles information sent through this website. I work remotely from Gympie and give you a quote before work starts.
What the enquiry form collects
When you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address and a description of the job. Optional fields are business name, phone number, existing website address and job type. The form does not ask for attachments, payment details or accounts, and you should not send passwords, bank details or other sensitive information in a message.
Why it is collected and who sees it
I use your details to respond to your enquiry and carry out any work we agree on. I read the enquiry and do the work myself. Enquiries are stored in a private database that is not part of the public website, and no enquiry details are sold, shared for marketing, or sent to analytics.
Services that process enquiry data
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, and the following Cloudflare services are involved when you make an enquiry. Cloudflare operates globally; data is not stored in Australia only.
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts the public pages of this website (including this page).
- Cloudflare Workers — processes the form through a Pages Function and passes the reference number, received time and reply address to a private notification service.
- Cloudflare D1 — the private database where enquiry details are stored.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — the human-verification challenge on the form, used to block spam submissions.
- Cloudflare Email Service — sends a notification to my public contact address with your reference number, not your message. Your email address is included as the reply address. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail from that address to my inbox. Acceptance by the email service does not confirm delivery; I also check the stored enquiries.
- Google Gmail — receives forwarded notifications and correspondence. I may reply from that inbox, so the reply address may differ from the public contact address.
No third-party advertising or tracking services are used. The site sets no advertising cookies; the small amount of browser storage the form uses exists only to keep a retry of the same submission from creating a duplicate, and to show you your reference number.
AI and customer information
The enquiry form does not send your message to an AI service. If a job involves AI, we need to agree separately on the tools and data involved before using them. Please describe the task without including customer records or confidential documents in your enquiry.
How long enquiries are kept
Enquiries are marked resolved once dealt with. They become eligible for deletion 90 days after resolution unless a longer period is needed for ongoing work or required by law. I remove eligible enquiries during a monthly check, not automatically on the 90th day. A record of what was deleted is kept so deleted data does not reappear from backups.
Encrypted daily backups are kept for up to 14 days, with no monthly archives. Deleted enquiries may remain in those encrypted copies until they expire. If a backup is restored, the deletion record is applied again before enquiries are put back into use.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what your enquiry contained, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted earlier than the standard period. I will explain if information needs to be kept for ongoing work or a legal requirement.
To ask about any of this, email [email protected].
This page describes the site as actually built. If the services used change, this page changes with them before — not after — the change goes live.
